Helen Brewis
Helen is a trained occupational and business psychologist with experience in both public and private sectors.  She has a background in managing, designing and delivering training programmes and culture change projects for small, medium and large organisations in a variety of industries. 
Helen is also able to offer Podium’s clients a range of psychometric tests and interventions and one-to-one business and career coaching.
Lissa Cook
Lissa has a wide range of experience in PR and journalism. Her career includes five years producing Radio 4's flagship live news programmes - 'The World at One' and 'PM' and two years making documentaries and investigative reports for BBC networks including 5 live and The World Service.
Prior to that she worked as Senior Press Officer for the Liberal Democrats dealing directly with national newspaper political editors and broadcasters through the 2001 general election. Her first job was working as special adviser for former President of the European Commission, Jacques Delors, at his Paris-based think-tank.
Lissa also has experience of PR and journalism within the sport and leisure industry; she’s now working for the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, Cliffhanger Outdoors Festival as well as the Community Sports Trust's flagship project Derbyshire Village Games, promoting grassroots sports in the run-up to the Olympics and beyond. She’s passionate about social media having launched BBC Radio 4’s PM blog with Eddie Mair which won the 2007 Sony Gold Interactive award. She also writes freelance for a range of publications and can from time to time be heard reading the news on her local radio station High Peak Radio.


Neil Bent
Neil is a classically educated marketeer, with 23 years' experience gained through spells in advertising, public relations and sales promotions consultancies as well as two separate in-house roles working for some of the world's most recognised brands - offering everything from strategic consultancy through to planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of marketing communications.
Neil has worked with a range of clients in the sports industry including Team England, Everton FC, West Bromwich Albion FC, Birmingham City FC, Rotherham FC, Millwall FC, Borehamwood FC,
National Association of Disabled (football) Supporters, Football Supporters Federation, Rugby League Superleague, British Touring Car Championship, Stewart Formula One, Dunlop Motorsport ,
Jaguar Cars (Le Mans), The ADT London Marathon and The EDF Birmingham Half Marathon.
Neil is an award winning public relations professional and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a lateral thinker who believes that work should be fun and brings his unique down to earth approach to training and development.


Kathryn Crago
Kathryn is an accomplished sports development professional, having held roles within a National Governing Body, as a Board member of a County Sports Partnership, as Resource Development Director of Ultimate Netball Limited and Training Solutions Director in private sports consultancies.  Her commercial experience also extends across two years working in recruitment consultancy in both public and private sectors (including aviation, research and care industries).  Kathryn has developed training resources in the sport sector used across the UK and internationally.  Kathryn’s other experience includes time as a visiting lecturer on BA Physical Education (Secondary) with ITE, BA Primary Education and PGCE Primary Education programmes.  Formally Kathryn project managed Podium’s training and consultancy delivery across the UK and Europe and advises on all areas of development. 
Elspeth Gilfillan
Elspeth facilitates organisations in sport in to develop commercial packages, secure funding and sponsorship.  She is a strategist with an innate ability to create valuable and high profile partnerships between sport, corporate bodies and the third sector.
Elspeth’s work transcends a full spectrum of projects, from brokering major international and national event sponsorship to delivering community-based sports initiatives and fundraising dinners.
Elspeth has a proven track record in the field, with roles including director of fundraising at Fields in Trust, where she developed a multi-million pound legacy programme and funding strategy.  She also led on the £25million sport and football fundraising campaign as part of the UK’s largest charity appeal – the NSPCC FULL STOP Appeal.
Deborah Godbold
Deborah is a licensed Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development trainer with over 20 years experience in learning and development.  She is authorised by the Chartered Management Institute to deliver a range of people management courses up to an executive level.  Deborah has over 15 years experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve measurable objectives.  She has delivered personal effectiveness training courses across a number of sectors which include; financial services, market research, information technology, consultancy, retail and travel.  Deborah has worked Podium on a variety of projects for clients who include: England Netball, ECB County Cricket Boards in the West Midlands, School Sports Partnerships in Cambridgeshire and the Rugby Football Union.
Clare Haynes
Clare is an experienced trainer, public speaker and coach who specialises in work psychology and soft skills development.  She has worked across sectors including automotive, aviation, construction, education, housing and finance, for public and private organisations.
Clare helps people to develop their abilities as teams and individuals.  Believing that learning is highly individual and that it should be fun, she builds on her psychology and marketing background to tailor learning to the specific audience. Whether it’s team building, leadership and management development, managing change or communication skills, Clare injects her passion for people.  Clare holds a degree in psychology and post-graduate qualifications in marketing and coaching.
She’s a Toastmaster and a speaker for organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, ICAEW and Institute of Project Management. 
Clare Howard
Clare is an accredited assessor and trainer for Quest, (UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure).  She is an experienced project manager, consultant, trainer and facilitator with over 18 years’ experience in sport and recreation working in both the public and private sectors.
Clare has operational experience in a variety of leisure posts for Reading Borough Council, five years strategic planning experience with Sport England, two years’ local authority experience with the London Borough of Redbridge, and 7 years private sector experience as a principal consultant for PMP. 
Samantha Marshall
Leadership and managament facilitator, Samantha, has a strong background in sports development.  She has over a decade of experience in the industry, with key management positions including national development manager for the Rugby Football Union for Women and development manager for Sport England, London Region.  She has also held positions in Bexley Council and London Irish Rugby Football Club.
Samantha also has particular expertise in helping community sports clubs seek funding from private, charitable and government funding sources.
Florence Price
Florence is a qualified Occupational Psychologist who works with Podium in the UK and internationally.  Florence has been working in the field of training, coaching, business psychology and HR consulting since 2004.  She offers bilingual services (French – English) and specialises in talent management (support and professional development).
Florence has a demonstrated pattern of successful involvement within a variety of business and public sectors.  She has considerable experience with the aviation industry, telecommunication, event and leisure industry. 
Florence is qualified and registered to use a number of psychometric interventions.
Fiona Prattley
Fiona spent over 15 years in general management, human resources, training and development roles.  Her experience has been in both private and corporate organisations with service in the hospitality, retail, manufacturing, logistics and distribution sectors.  She has also worked with voluntary organisations that require support to employ staff.
Fiona graduated with honours at Sheffield Polytechnic and later undertook the Institute of Personnel and Development qualification at the University of Northumbria.  She is currently a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Fiona offers a breadth of experience, enabling her to design and deliver a comprehensive range of high quality training and development solutions.
Ian Travers
Ian has worked in project environments for 20 years, holding a range of roles including Head of Programme Management for Rolls- Royce Civil Aerospace, and most recently working to set up and develop the project management capability of a German owned SME.
Ian has worked in a range of companies in a range of different markets - subcontract sector, shoe making machinery,  ‘off road’ material handling vehicles, aerospace, and even 10 years as a Special Police Constable along the way! Over that time he has developed a passion for helping others improve by looking at and understanding how we react to our circumstances.  Ian works as an associate for Podium Training – working with people to deliver successful projects and programmes and to ‘think things better’. Ian is a keen runner and outdoor enthusiast.
Jess Williamson
Jess has a strong background in management development, retail, HR and recruitment.  She understands what it takes to excel in management.  Working for Podium she has transferred her skills from the private sector to the sport development industry.  Jess has been involved in projects working with the Youth Sport Trust, Archery GB, a number of School Sport Partnerships, Rugby Football Union, Sports Coach UK and English Gymnastics.
