Andrea Kemp (Project Lead)
Andrea's career history spans grass roots sports development through to regional and county strategic roles in partnership management. She has held roles within Local Authorities, County Sport Partnerships and Sport England. Working alongside key contacts in the sports industry Andrea has been driving the skills agenda to create a structured career pathway for those working in the sector.
Andrea recently managed the Coach Assessor training and resource review for sports coach UK and is currently managing Northamptonshire’s PE and School Sport CPD Programme.
Clare Haynes (Lead Tutor and Coach)
Clare is an experienced facilitator, trainer, public speaker and coach who specialises in work psychology and soft skills development. She has worked across a range of sectors for public and private organisations and charities. Clare helps people to develop their abilities as teams and individuals.
Believing that learning is highly individual and that it should be fun, she builds on her psychology and marketing background to tailor learning to the specific audience. Whether it’s team building, group facilitation, leadership and management development, managing change or communication skills training, Clare injects her passion for people.
Clare holds a degree in psychology and post-graduate qualifications in marketing and coaching. She’s a Toastmaster and a speaker for organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, ICAEW and Institute of Project Management.
Clare is a popular facilitator and Associate of Podium Training and previously held positions as Head of Sports at NSPCC, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Patchwork Housing, and Change Consultant at Sunnyfield Association, Sydney.
Helen Brewis (Project Advisor, 360 Feedback Analyst)
Helen is a trained occupational and business psychologist with experience in both public and private sectors. She has a background in managing, designing and delivering training programmes and culture change projects for small, medium and large organisations in a variety of industries.
Helen is also able to offer Podium’s clients a range of psychometric tests and interventions and one-to-one business and career coaching. Her work with clients in the sport sector includes the International Canoe Federation, the Youth Sport Trust, England Netball, the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Amateur Swimming Association.
Jess Williamson (Tutor – Time Management and Personal Effectiveness)
Jess has a strong background in leadership and management development, human resource management and recruitment. In previous roles she was responsible for managing 16 retail stores with a combined turnover of £10 million. Jess is an excellent communicator with a degree in Communications Studies. She uses her extensive experience and skills from the private sector to develop training solutions tailored to meet the sport, active leisure and education sectors.
Jess has worked with Podium for several years and has completed projects for a range of clients including national governing bodies, community organisations and school sport partnerships.
Ian Travers (Tutor – Projects and Programmes)
Ian has worked in project environments for 20 years, holding a range of roles including Head of Programme Management for Rolls- Royce Civil Aerospace, and most recently working to set up and develop the project management capability of a German owned SME.
Ian has worked in a range of companies in a range of different markets - subcontract sector, shoe making machinery, ‘off road’ material handling vehicles, aerospace, and even 10 years as a Special Police Constable along the way! Over that time Ian has developed a passion for helping others improve by looking at and understanding how we react to our circumstances. Ian works as an associate for Podium Training – working with people to deliver successful projects and programmes and to ‘think things better’. Ian is a keen runner and outdoor enthusiast.
Graham Barton (Tutor – Financial Planning and Management)
Graham holds a B.Ed Honours Degree and is a Fellow Member of the Finance Society and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Graham delivers a range of financial training programmes and financial planning workshops to both the private and public sector. He has strong presentation and organisation ability.
Graham has delivered a range of workshops on Financial Planning and Management for our clients in the sport sector and applies his knowledge and skills with great ease.
