England Netball use 'Confident Communication' to engage volunteers

3rd Jul 2012

Creating dynamic dialogue and cajoling tricky customers were on the hit list for Netball Development Officers in Swindon, Milton Keynes and Wakefield recently as Clare Haynes led 3 half day workshops on 'Confident Communication'.
England Netball staff were keen to develop their communication skills to engage volunteers, partners, stakeholders and players more effectively and within the parameters of their already busy schedules.
Participants found the 'assertiveness model' and the tools and techniques relating to 'saying no' particularly useful. Comments included:
"Very useful workshop and would recommend to all those engaged in partnership work and working with volunteers..”
“Clare's approach was great and the course was suited to our work styles and problems”
"Really enjoyed the course. The learning environment was brilliant with being relaxed and captured my attention throughout.”
